|a Sažetak na hrvatskom: U ovom radu korištena je metoda za kompresiju bez gubitaka za sažimanje slikovnih podataka potrebnih za prijenos. Ta se vrsta sažimanja pokazala kao vrlo kvalitetna iako ima mjesta unaprijeđivanju algoritma.MIDOM sustav ima potencijal postati jedan široko korišteni sustav za medicinsku dijagnostiku. Omogućen je rad medicinskog specijalista preko mrežne aplikacije te su dodane mnoge funkcionalnosti ključne za njegov rad. Također integrirana je metoda kompresije bez gubitaka koja je temeljena na Golomb-Rice algoritmu za entropijsko kodiranje u poslužiteljsku komponentu sustava za medicinsku dijagnostiku na daljinu MIDOM

|a Sažetak na engleskom: In this thesis, lossless image compression is implemented in applcation to compress medical image data for sharing. This kind of compressing data showed many advantages although there is always space for improvement of the compression algorithm. MIDOM has the potential of becoming a system with wide span of use in medical diagnostics. Work of the medical specialist is enabled through the web application and many funcionalities have been added that are the key of medical specialist work. Also the lossless image compression data technique, which is based on Golomb-Rice algorithm, has been implemented on the server of the Medical
image exchange system for diagnostics on the move MIDOM.
