520 |a This paper features a simulation model of the FSB canteen. The data required for the simulation was collected through direct observation of the canteen during the busiest time of the day, that is, lunchtime. The simulation model was verified and validated based on the collected data. The model and the results of the simulation were presented. In order to reduce the waiting time, two modifications of the existing model were proposed and simulation models for both cases were also developed. After simulating the modified models, in order to determine the effects of the proposed modifications, the obtained results were analyzed and compared with the results of the existing system.
